كتاب بيعلم الأطفال إزاي يقروا ويكتبوا كلمات عربي بسيطة. الـ 300 كلمة المستخدمين في الكتاب كلهم كلمات عربي فصحى، وموجودين في «معجم اللغة العربية المعاصرة» للدكتور أحمد مختار عمر (صدر سنة 2008).
في بعض الحالات، الكتاب بيعرض الكلمات بتشكيل يعكس نطقها العامي مش الفصحى (زي مثلاً كلمة سِلِّم بدل سُلَّم)، وده على أساس إن الطفل هيتعود على النطق الفصحى في مرحلة تعليمية تانية قدام.
مقدمة الكتاب بتسلط الضوء على الأساس العلمي اللي قايم عليه، وبتقدم كمان اقتراحات للأهالي واللي بيراعوا الأطفال عن إزاي يستخدموا الكتاب حسب عمر الطفل – من أول شهوره الأولى لحد ما يوصل لسن سبع سنين.
A book teaching children how to read & write basic Arabic words. All 300 words used are standard Arabic words reported in the Dictionary of Contemporary Arabic «معجم اللغة العربية المعاصرة» by Professor Ahmed Mokhtar Omar (2008).
In some instances, the book presents words with vowels (or tashkeel) to reflect their a’amiya pronunciation instead of their fusHa pronunciation (such as سِلِّم versus سُلَّم), with the expectation that the child will become familiar with the fusha pronunciation at a subsequent learning stage.
The introduction to the book highlights the science upon which the book is based and offers suggestions on how parents and caregivers can use it according to the child’s age – from his first months until the age of seven years.
